Shekinah has had a challenging year with us seeing a dramatic increase of demand on our services. We have struggled in the current financial climate to secure funding but thank all those who have and are continuing to support our vital services. With a prediction of a long cold Winter ahead of us we hope that you will remember those in need over the Festive Season and help us to continue to support those in greatest need. Wishing you and your family a very Happy Christmas. John Hamblin, CEO, Shekinah. Plymouth ladies support Shekinah The Soroptomists of Plymouth have been hugely supportive this year by organising a fashion show. They will also be wrapping Christmas presents to raise funds for us in Dingles House of Fraser, Plymouth on Saturday 18th and Sunday 19th December with plans on the horizon to organise a concert next April to help raise vital funds. Thank you ladies! |

New Year's Day Swim 2012 (1PM) This event sees an increasing number of participants each year bravely plunge into the foaming briny on Wembury Beach. It's a wonderful sight to see hundreds of swimmers of all ages, from all over Plymouth taking part in this daring event which spotlights the brave hearted and raises lots of money for Shekinah. Due to tide times, this year's event will start at 1pm. Please come along with your friends and familiy. We would like to make this year's event really entertaining and colourful so please adopt whatever mode of dress or props your imagination dictates. Wembury's Old Mill Cafe is preparing a special warm up soup for swimmers and spectators which will be on sale from 12 - 2 with all profits donated to Shekinah. |
