Growing for Life, a really attractive site with a rural feel has two large polytunnels, a greenhouse, an all-purpose small barn, newly built logcabin and a secure tool store. It provides a drug and alcohol free environment in which people that have a commitment to moving forward with their lives can gain confidence, learn new skills and mix with others; whilst carrying out meaningful work built around a variety of activities. |

We offer a basic “Growing for Life” Training Award which is linked to Employment Skills and is accredited through the National Open College Network (NOCN). This four week long course is a mix of practical skills, which could include green-wood-working, growing and harvesting of produce and team working. |

It aims to give a wide range of people a fresh start. Those who may have been caught up in the offending cycle or who may feel socially disadvantaged, will be equipped with the skills and motivation to move forward with their lives. This, for some, could lead back into the world of work. We provide training, volunteering and employment opportunities for a broad range of socially excluded adults including those at risk of offending, people who are homeless and those suffering from substance misuse issues. The Shekinah Volunteers can achieve a range of nationally recognised qualifications. |
